Colors

Lego parts have been made in many different colors over the years. Some of these colors have changed over time, and the colors can be quite confusing. The names for Lego colors can also differ depending on which website you are looking at. We've listed some of the common confusing colors below. We also have a full color list.

Gray

In any modern set, the light and dark grey looking colors are called 'Medium Stone Gray' and 'Dark Stone Gray' by Brick Owl and Lego. The colors 'Light Gray' and 'Dark Gray' refer to older colors that are a bit more brown and a bit less blue.

Brown

The modern color for Brown is 'Reddish Brown'. The color 'Brown' is only used in old sets.

Gold / Silver

There are different types of reflective colors. Pearl colors have a dull appearance. Metallic colors have a slightly metallic finish, but they are not reflective. Chrome colors are reflective similar to car paints.
