  • New Keychains, New Polybag

    Posted on 13 Feb 2014 21:36

Tonight we have a wedge of new images to show you. First, there are several new Castle keychains that should be coming out soon to go along with the Castle sets that came out this year. For the same theme there are also two battle packs, one for the Lion Knights, and one for the Dragon Knights. There is quite a nice picture of the new Easter Bunny set which will obviously be coming out to be timed with Easter soon. You can see all of the new pictures here

  • 2014 Polybags

    Posted on 1 Jan 2014 20:55

As we enter the New Year, Lego usually update their systems with many of the upcoming sets. Among the hundreds of inventories and instructions there are the names and inventories of several new polybags due out in 2014. There are several from the new Lego movie theme as well as the usual Star Wars, City, Friends, Superheroes and Legends of Chima. There look like several interesting ones that I'm sure people will be eager to add to their collections.

  • Lego Shop Man Polybag

    Posted on 9 Sep 2013 13:16

We've managed to uncover a new promotional polybag that includes the Lego Shop mascot along with a Red 2 x 4 brick. It looks like the kind of promotional polybag this is usually given away with Lego purchases over a certain amount. It may only be a simple polybag along the lines of the previous Club Max polybag, but I'm sure it will still appeal to collectors as it is something unique to have in a collection. Click on the item below to see the packaging picture.

  • Christmas 2013 LEGO Sets - Guess the set

    Posted on 1 Sep 2013 13:49

We've picked up two new unseen sets that have appeared on the Lego website, 40082 and 40083. These will be Black Friday sets similar to last years. No pictures are available, but the inventories are.

40082 Looks to be a log cabin with two mini figures

40083 Looks to be a vehicle/sleigh with a slightly Santa looking man

Interestingly it looks like a Redditor previously got some of the contents of the 40082

  • Lego Trevi Fountain

    Posted on 28 Aug 2013 17:34

A short post today, in our earlier roundup of rumours one we didn't cover is the 'Trevi Fountain' set. As you can probably guess, this will be an architecture set of the famous Italian fountain in Rome (shown below). It will certainly be an interesting one to see how they design it, especially with the water. Although it is unlikely to be 50 metres wide like the real version, I hope they do it justice with a substantial part count.

  • August Lego Rumour Roundup

    Posted on 22 Aug 2013 11:41

After the flurry of news about set releases due out in the next wave it seems a good time to cover some of the other themes. We previously did a rumour roundup post back in February with what turned out to be the 10240 X-Wing and the 10236 Ewok Village.

We will start with the most interesting, but with the least information, we expect there to be a "MINI Cooper" set released later this year! Lego already have a licensing arrangement with BMW (who manufacture the MINI Coopers these days), unfortunately they used that license to create a rather poor 40200. Hopefully they put in a bit more effort this time. It is possible this could simply be a polybag but it's unlikely they would waste an opportunity to make the MINI Cooper on a smaller set. Lego also have a track record of making large iconic vehicles with the Camper Van and VW Beetle.

The next two sets are Architecture sets, also due out later this year and early next year. First up is a model of the Marina Bay Sands complex. Interestingly earlier this year they won a 'Vote & Inspire Us' poll for the architecture series as mentioned on their Facebook page. Secondly, due for release in the first quarter of 2014, we are very pleased to see there will be an Eiffel tower set. This certainly won't be on the scale of the previous set but I'm sure it will still be a must buy for many people.

Hopefully that give you some more sets to look forward to later this year.

Spoiler warning: The alternate images show the contents of the advent so don't peek if you are hoping to get one later this year.
